Counselling support
The Department of Health and Social Care has secured a counselling support service with the organisation, Workplace Wellness, for families whose relatives died at Gosport War Memorial Hospital and for those who may be affected by the findings of the investigation.
The service is to support families who may be facing difficulties as they understand what happened to their relatives at Gosport and who may be affected by the findings of the report. If you need counselling support the number to call is 0800 118 1614, this is a dedicated line for Gosport families.
The counselling support service, where clinically appropriate, offers six, one-hour long sessions of support per person and then signposting to appropriate services, should longer-term support be required. The service can be provided remotely via telephone or face-to-face.
The service is available 24/7 and is completely confidential, with accredited counsellors on hand to manage any emotional concerns.
